Nominations Now Open for 2024 HALA Stars of the Industry Awards
The Stars of the Industry awards program was created more than 40 years ago by the American Hotel & Lodging Association to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the lodging industry. While the categories have evolved over the years, the concept is still the same — to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry.
HALA member properties are eligible to nominate one employee from their staff for a Housekeeping Award, Outstanding Lodging Employee, Manager of the Year, General Manager of the Year, Hospitality Partner Award, and the Rising Star Award. In addition, properties may enter their best programs in four categories of HALA’s Property Achievement Awards: Good Earthkeeping, Guest Services, Community Service, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Click here for more details on each award category.
Nominations opened on February 12, 2024.
Nomination Guidelines:
Nominations should be about 500 words describing why the employee or property is a Star. Please provide detailed examples. Supporting materials such as photos and reviews can be uploaded with your nomination. You may submit one entry per category. All entries must be from a HALA member in good standing. All submitted materials become the property of HALA and will not be returned.
Nominations close on March 8 at 11:59pm. Finalists are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony on April 9 at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, where the winners will be announced. Check back for event details.
