HALA's response to the CLA's release of the deeply flawed BEAR study of the "Living Wage Ordinance/Hotel Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance Study Findings". 

In our response, we present information to the LA City Council that identifies just a few of the numerous problems, misstatements, omissions and erroneous conclusions that the report contains.  While HALA wants to work with the City Council and Mayor to continue to improve standards for our employees, we respectfully ask the Trade, Travel and Tourism Committee to reject the CLA’s recommendations coming out of such a deeply flawed report.
