L.A. Minimum Wage

In early 2024, the Los Angeles City Council will take a vote to change the minimum wage—only for hotels.

What’s at stake? Quite a bit. Hotel businesses could see an immediate increase to $25/hour, with an additional increase to $30/hour by 2028.

At HALA, we’re passionately committed to our industry’s health and survival. That means fighting for wage policies our hotels can withstand. It means ensuring all families can still find affordable lodging when they come to experience our amazing city. And it means ensuring major hospitality employers still want to do business in L.A. Our city needs those jobs.
