Training: January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
The hospitality industry plays a crucial role in preventing human trafficking—and HALA members are part of the solution. Working together, we can make all establishments No Trafficking Zones—safe spaces for all visitors.
The State of California requires hotel and lodging employees to complete at least 20 minutes of training on how to identify and stop human trafficking.
Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.
In partnership with Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST), HALA is proud to offer our members free in-depth training in the prevention and awareness of human tracking. The course is online, so participants can go at their own pace as they learn skills for spotting and safely interrupting human exploitation happening on hotel premises.
